Fireball

Blast the tower. Miss the barriers. A free one-tap game.

Play nowTap to fire

Fireball is a one-tap tower shooter. Your cannon sits at the bottom of the screen and a tall tower stands above it. Every fireball that reaches the tower knocks out its bottom floor. Barrier rings spin round the tower's axis, though, and a shot that meets a barrier bounces straight back at you. The cannon's fuse burns down between hits, so you can't wait forever for the perfect gap. Bring the tower down and a taller one takes its place, with faster, trickier rings.

How to play Fireball

  1. Tap anywhere to fire a fireball straight up.
  2. Each fireball that reaches the tower knocks out one floor.
  3. Fire through the gaps in the spinning red barriers. Hitting a barrier ends the run.
  4. Every hit relights the fuse. If the fuse burns out with no shot on the way, the run ends.

Tips to get a high score

Towers, rings and the fuse over time

Each tower is a stage. The first has 8 floors, each one after that has two more, and from the eighth tower on they stand 22 floors tall. Your score is the total number of floors you knock out across every tower.

The first tower has a single steady ring with one barrier covering about a third of its circle. Towers two and three can add a second barrier or a ring that speeds up and slows down. From tower three a second, lower ring may appear, and from tower six there are always two. From tower four, rings can also swing back and forth or stop and lurch.

Ring speed and barrier size grow until about the fourteenth tower, and speed keeps rising a little after that. The fuse shortens on the same curve. Each hit refills about 3.3 seconds early on and about 2.2 seconds by tower 14. The first tower starts you with 5 seconds.

Flight time and quick double shots

A fireball reaches the lower ring in about a ninth of a second and the upper ring in about a fifth. That's how far ahead you have to fire: the gap needs to be at the front when the ball gets there, not when you tap.

You can fire again after 0.15 seconds, so more than one fireball can be in the air. When a wide gap is at the front of a slow ring, two quick shots can both get through and knock out two floors. Each ball is checked on its own, though, and the second meets the ring a moment later, when the gap has moved on. Save doubles for wide, slow gaps.

Hits less than about 0.6 seconds apart build the combo, which only changes the sound. The fuse is the resource that matters, and every hit fills it completely, so steady single hits are worth more than risky bursts.

Reading two rings

With two rings, they usually spin in opposite directions, and the lower one is a little slower with smaller barriers. The ball meets the lower ring first and the upper one a moment later. Check that both gaps will be at the front for their part of the trip before you fire.

Rings that reverse swing back and forth but always creep forward overall, so their gap comes round eventually. Stop-and-go rings spin, brake to an almost total halt for a moment, then lurch off. Fire early in the halt, not at its end.

The most common bounce is firing into a closing gap: the barrier is just reaching the front, you tap anyway, and by the time the ball arrives it's blocked. If the gap is already half gone, wait for the next one. A cleared tower restarts the fuse at around three seconds, so you rarely need to gamble.

Daily levels and ghost races

Today's Fireball level is the same for everyone, and you race the ghosts of other players' runs. How daily levels and challenges work.

FAQ

Why did my fireball bounce back?

It hit one of the red barrier segments circling the tower. Fire only when the front of every ring is open.

What is the fuse for?

It stops you waiting forever. It burns down between hits and refills each time you knock out a floor. A fireball already in the air keeps it from blowing.

Is it free?

Yes. Every Tapamine game is free to play in your browser with no download and no account.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Tapamine is built for phones first: portrait, one thumb, and it works offline after your first visit. It also works with a mouse or the spacebar on a computer.

How do challenges work?

After a run, tap “Challenge a friend” to send a link. Your friend plays the exact same level and races your ghost — a replay of your run — to see who wins.
