Curl is a one-button curling game. Each end you get one stone and the rival team already has stones in the house. Hold to charge the power meter and let go to throw. Then the stone glides and curls down the ice, and you tap to sweep: sweeping lowers the friction so the stone travels further and curls a little less. Finish closer to the button than every rival stone to win the end. You can bump rival stones out of the way too. Lose three ends and the run is over. Every day there's a new set of ends, with your friends' ghost stones sliding down the same sheet.
How to play Curl
- Hold anywhere to charge the power meter. The blue band shows the power that stops in the house.
- Let go to throw. The arrow at the hack shows which way the stone will curl.
- Tap repeatedly to sweep. Sweeping makes the stone travel further and curl less.
- Finish closer to the button than every rival stone to win the end. Three lost ends end the run.
Tips to get a high score
- Throw a touch light and sweep it the rest of the way. Sweeping can add distance, but nothing can take it away.
- Stop right on the button for a BUTTON! and a coin.
- A rival stone sitting on the button has to be moved. Throw a little heavier and bump it back.
- Knocking a rival stone right off the sheet, past the back line or over the side, earns a coin.
- Watch the ice: on keen ice your stone slides slower and curls more, on heavy ice it runs faster and straighter.
How the ends get harder
Curl gets harder per end and reaches full difficulty at end 15. The first end has an empty house. Ends 2 to 5 have one rival stone, ends 6 to 9 have two, and from end 10 there are usually three. The closest rival stone also creeps nearer the button as you go. From end 9, there's a growing chance one sits dead on the button, and then a simple draw can't win.
The power meter speeds up as well. A full swing up and back takes 2.5 seconds at first, about 1.5 seconds by end 15, and keeps getting quicker after that, down to under a second. That's what eventually ends every run.
The stone curls the opposite way each end, so check the arrow at the hack. From end 3 the amount of curl varies, and from end 4 the ice can be keen or heavy. Rival stones are never parked across the line of a draw to the button, so you can always get there unless one is already sitting on it.
What wins an end
Your score is ends won. You win if your stone finishes in the house (just touching the rings counts) and closer to the button than every rival stone. Lose three ends and the run is over. Not throwing within six seconds loses the end, and holding the meter for five seconds throws automatically.
BUTTON! and its coin need you to stop within about a fifth of the house radius from the centre. It doesn't add points. You also get a coin for each rival stone that started in the house and gets knocked off the sheet. Pushing it to the edge of the rings doesn't count.
Stones are equal weight and bounce well. Hit a rival stone square and yours stops almost dead while the other one carries on. That's why a firm takeout on a button stone often leaves your stone sitting close to the button.
Weight, sweeping and the line
With no sweeping, how far the stone goes depends only on the meter. The button is just past half power, and the whole house fits in a slice about an eighth of the meter tall. The meter falls after it peaks, so you can catch the right power on the way up or on the way down.
Your starting spot is set so a button-weight throw with no sweeping curls right onto the button. Sweeping cuts friction and curl while you sweep, so a swept stone finishes on the side it started from, not on the button. A small, early sweep adds distance. Sweeping near the house, where the stone is slow and curling hardest, mostly straightens it.
Ice changes the feel. On keen ice the stone slides slower and curls more, so each sweep shifts its line further. On heavy ice it runs faster and straighter, and sweeping does less to the curl.

FAQ
What does sweeping do?
Each tap sweeps the ice in front of the stone for a moment. That lowers the friction, so the stone slides further and curls a little less.
How do I win an end?
Your stone has to finish in the house and closer to the centre (the button) than every rival stone.
Is it free?
Yes. Every Tapamine game is free to play in your browser with no download and no account.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tapamine is built for phones first: portrait, one thumb, and it works offline after your first visit. It also works with a mouse or the spacebar on a computer.
How do challenges work?
After a run, tap “Challenge a friend” to send a link. Your friend plays the exact same level and races your ghost — a replay of your run — to see who wins.
