Tint

Only your color gets through. A free one-tap game.

Play nowTap to bounce

Tint is a one-tap color game. Tap to bounce your blob upward through spinning rings and bars, but you can only pass through the part that matches your color. Hit a swirl to change color.

How to play Tint

  1. Tap to bounce upward. Gravity pulls you down.
  2. Pass only through the segment that matches your color.
  3. Touch a color swirl to switch colors.
  4. Each obstacle you clear is a point; stars are coins for hats. Don't fall off the bottom.

Tips to get a high score

How Tint ramps up

Tint tracks two things at once: how many obstacles you've cleared and how long you've been playing. Whichever is further along sets the difficulty, so climbing slowly won't keep things easy. Around 28 obstacles, or a little over a minute of play, brings the full mix.

The opening is gentle on purpose. The first two obstacles are single rings that spin slowly, a notch faster each time, followed by rings and sliding bars, then pinwheels. Partway through the ramp, double rings and twin bars join in. In the hardest stretch, plain sliders drop out, double rings turn up twice as often and pairs of pinwheels appear.

Rings spin faster as you go and sliding bars more than double their speed. After about 50 seconds an overdrive pushes each new obstacle faster still, up to 60% more by around the 80-second mark, while the space between obstacles keeps shrinking.

Getting through each shape

Apart from the very first one, every ring has four different colors, so the piece you enter through and the piece you leave by are never the same. Go in through the bottom when your color comes around, hover in the open middle with small taps (that's where the star sits), then leave through the top once your color reaches it.

Double rings look scary but are built to line up. The inner ring spins the other way with mirrored colors, so your color reaches the bottom of both rings at about the same time. Twin bars work the same way: at any moment, the color under you is the same on both bars, so read them as one.

Pinwheels turn so their arms sweep upward through your path. Instead of fighting the whole wheel, wait for a gap and rise with it. Only arms of other colors hurt, and your hitbox is a little smaller than your blob, but crossing exactly on the seam between two colors still counts as a hit.

Bounce control and the color swirl

Every tap sets the same upward speed instead of adding to it. One tap lifts you a bit more than half a ring's radius; tap again sooner and you climb faster, but you can never stack a huge jump. Holding the screen does nothing, so pace yourself with taps.

The screen only scrolls up. Fall too far below your highest point and you drop off the bottom, which makes waiting under a ring a balance between hovering low and not sinking out of view.

Starting after the third obstacle, a swirl sits halfway to the next one, right in your path, and it always switches you to a different color. Once you grab it, find your new color on the next obstacle before you get there.

Your score is one point for every obstacle cleared. Stars go into your coin total, and close calls build a CLOSE streak just for show.

FAQ

Why did I die passing through a ring?

Any part of your blob touching a different color counts. Wait until your color fully lines up before passing.

Is it free?

Yes. Every Tapamine game is free to play in your browser with no download and no account.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Tapamine is built for phones first: portrait, one thumb, and it works offline after your first visit. It also works with a mouse or the spacebar on a computer.

How do challenges work?

After a run, tap “Challenge a friend” to send a link. Your friend plays the exact same level and races your ghost — a replay of your run — to see who wins.
